I offer friendly, caring, patient, fun and dedicated care for your little ones. I am a fully OFSTED Registered Childminder (soon to be Scotland's Care Inspectorate due to relocating from England to Scotland) and Primary School Teacher with over 15 years experience in Early Years and Primary education. I have a BEd Degree, fully insured and have a full driving license.
I am a new mum and now offer childminding and private tuition to local families.
My gorgeous son Thomas, who is now 2 years old and I look forward to welcoming your little ones into our home for lots of fun!
I deliver a very creative Early Years curriculum to all children under the age of 5 with a Cafè theme to encourage positive healthy eating, manners, knowledge of a huge variety of foods whilst developing their fine motor skills through cooking. I deliver engaging, motivating and creative learning experiences, differentiated for all abilities and aged children in my care. I provide all families with learning journals of your child’s developments during their time with me. I strive to provide excellent assessment feedback as being a parent myself, those milestones are precious.
In keeping with the Early Years Curriculum, I provide many different indoor and outdoor activities such as; PE (Funs-Fundamental skills), sensory play, drama, puppets, den building, bouncy castle fun, singing & dancing, dressing up, arts & crafts, story time, music, sand and water play and free play.
My groups with my son included to adult/child ratios, ensuring high quality care at all times as well as encouraging friendly social skills. Should the number of children increase, an additional adult will always be present for extra support.
The children and I enjoy the outdoors landscape of Glencarse. We are extremely fortunate to have woodland behind our house, right on our doorstep for muddy adventures and bug hunts! We attend local playgroups, community childminding group events and activities in St Madoes and other close local areas, including trips to Perth and Dundee to take advantage of a wide variety of facilities and experiences.
We use a variety of ways to communicate and share all the fun things we do with our families, such as, daily diaries, online learning journals, this website with BLOG for updates, Facebook (both public and private pages depending on what content is shared). We use SeeSaw as our platform for our online learning journeys which has excellent facilities to enable great communication between us and parents/wider family members, which our parents just love!*
For more in depth learning support, I offer private one to one tutoring lessons outside of my childminding hours for children aged 5 to 16.
*I operate strict policies and procedures for anything online. Please refer to my policies below for extra information.
If you're interested in my setting as a potential home from home for your little ones, I look forward to hearing from you.
